Love & Leadership
💛Many leadership talks were about psychological safety, compassion, cultural awareness and so-called “soft topics”.
💛All of them had the same message, lead people well and they will commit in making the company successful. I learned a lot about how changing my own worldview to think positively about people I can start a positive change in my own every day mentality and also built success in my career, Homo Puppy for the win!
💛Focus on talent and how to make sure companies attract, hire and retain the right talent was part of many of the keynotes. Especially in the first discussion by Miki and Kristel.
💛 “Have you read the air?” Everybody who attended NBF talk about cultural differences in communication.
More talk about compassionate leadership is needed
💡 How do we enable psychological safety with teams working in hybrid environment or fully remotely?
💡 How do we ensure we recruit the right people who feel part of the joint purpose of the company?
💡 More bonfire talks instead of to-do lists!
💡 More talk about the climate crisis. Global warming is the biggest threat to humankind at the moment and there was no talk dedicated to this in a leadership event. Having a 7-year old read a poem as a surprise show is not enough.
It was refreshing to have a really well working networking platform in play with Brella. One of the biggest frustrations in the last 3 times I attended Slush was the ever so buggy matchmaking tool. Also the friendliness of the service at the venue was suberb 💛
